Well, I suppose it's time for a "background" post.

I'm a fairly normal guy. I'm Asian, and enjoy typical things like anime and video games. I spend far too much time on the computer (at least TWELVE hours a day are spent on my laptop) but would love the opportunity to do something else. I'm not unpopular; I belong to a group of friends and am fairly well connected. I'm really barely passing by socially, as I don't have any defining qualities that set me apart. I'm not the best at anything, nor am I notorious for anything. I'm there if people need me, but people usually prefer to ask someone else. I have a fairly easy time making friends, but only with people that are somewhat similar to me. I'd say I'm in that "acceptable" zone. I'm told that I'm fairly good-looking, but even I can tell I don't quite have the temperament to be "popular". I like attention, but have the tendency to check myself (this is a habit that others have noticed and spoken to me about; I will often stop smiling abruptly after laughing for no reason whatsoever). As for romance, I have been interested in the same girl for about six years. I don't know what kind of qualities I look for in the opposite gender, but it may be interesting to note that the girl I mentioned isn't really even my friend at all; she's not what most people would call "nice", as she's very sarcastic and ignores people often.

I like music a lot, but am not a very talented musician. I have basic abilities in playing the piano, guitar, viola, violin, and cello, but I'm not particularly good at anything. I would like to be a skilled guitarist with a nice electric, but.. eh. I don't know what "genre" of music I prefer; I enjoy music pleasant to my ears. I listen to music in languages I don't understand as well as the ones I do. Some examples of non-English bands I enjoy are FLOW and Asian Kung-Fu Generation.

I am a church-going Christian. I belong to the Evangelical faith. However, I'm not a very devout believer, and am most certainly not what one would consider a "christfag". I can't even remember the last time I earnestly prayed or read the Bible, but I guess I do live in hope that there is someone out there looking out for me at times. I subscribe to no particular political party, but I do prefer Democrats as they seem to be slightly less hypocritical.
